Day Break

Day Break
By John R. Greenwood

Day breaks with the alarm clock and his obnoxious mouth. That relentless pest on the night stand tugging at your sleeve like the annoying kid next door. An hour later you're ready to tackle the day and pay some taxes. You don't think about that. You roll up your sleeves, check the oil, kick the tires and turn on the ignition. There's work to do and bills to pay.

  1. I admire all the committed workers that keep our businesses going. My father worked for the same company for 36 years and hardly missed a day. Good post -- barbara

  2. Take a deep breath in, and out. Lift the chin. Smile. ...and the smashed alarm clock - well, you'll need to buy another one :) Ha
